Every other year, our band and orchestra students travel to to a different location for a few days of performing, learning, and seeing a part of the music world they don't get in Berkeley—master classes with college directors, a concert with another high school's program, and a shot to sight-read at this time in LA at Disneyland. It's the kind of experience that turns a good musician into someone who wants to keep playing after high school.
 
Eligibility:

• Any student in 2° Band/Orchestra 3, or

• Any junior or senior in 0° Band/Orchestra 2, without 0° lab conflicts

Tour highlights:

• Two workshops with college music directors, plus campus tours

• Exchange concert with a local LA high school

• Back Lot sight-reading workshop at Disneyland, plus a full day at the park

• Santa Monica Pier, Griffith Observatory, LA Phil, and more sightseeing

• An afternoon of community service​
